I'm looking for co-founders!

Hi Seedcampers!

Seedcamp looks like a great opportunity, and I want in. I’d like to meet enthusiastic, energetic, and passionate entrepreneurs with the goal of finding co-founders.

Here’s my summary

- Absolute Web fanatic. I love technology, and have ideas (predominantly for Facebook) that I am pursuing and would like to put forward for Seedcamp. However, I’m eager to find some great people to work with – there’s only so much you can do on your own. I’d also love to hear your business ideas too – maybe they’re more suitable.

- Can design and code with XHTML & CSS, and eager to learn more skills inc. Rails, MySQL, and F8 Platform. Teaming-up with Web developer entrepreneurs would be fantastic. I do the front-end, you do the back.

- Just graduated with First Class Honors in Business Information Management; I’m free to focus 100% on the startup.

- Experience with working in business environments as a direct report to board level execs in London, so not completely new to the working world.

- Currently located at my parents’ place in Stratford-Upon-Avon, 1 hour 30 mins on train from London Marylebone. I have office space and a broadband connection here, and the house used to be a B&B, so I have been given the go ahead to accommodate other founders if appropriate.

I have been a member of Seedcamp since I saw the group on Facebook, but just only found the time to get into the mixer now. Taking a month off to concentrate on an idea and work on some Facebook applications of my own.

My first attempt http://apps.facebook.com/lovefootball was quite successful in terms of being viral but was profound in terms of getting new jobs, and the doors it opened quite quickly. I had one Radio station call me up when I got placed into the directory with only 700 users!

The funny thing was that when I was placed into the sports directory another app that does exactly the same thing was also placed, Football Fan, but in terms of quality I think I have the better foundation.

The above app should give you some idea of my code ability (PHP / MySQL) and also design layout and execution.

I come from a design background but have been coding PHP for 10 years now so am adept and finding the simplest solutions for the hardest problems, something I think most hard-core programmers lack: chucking code at a problem may fix it but it always creates more issues.

Been running my company for 10 years now, mostly working in Mobile SMS / PSMS sector. Recently created a company to utilise Location based services with Taxi booking and dispatch with a few nice twists, sadly we did not get the funding for that enterprise though we had 50 drivers working for us in Reading.

Anyway hope this gives you a small insight into what I can do and who I am so would like to chat more about working to get Seedcamp!

I too am working on such an idea since quite some time, which basically works on Namespace and Convergence. I believe it is complete in a way that it allows multiple users to have the same ID/Username. This way the cyber squatter is neutralized, a thing which I find missing in all such services are that (to my mind) the registration would not stand the test of time, say John Smith there would be Hundreds of Thousands of John Smiths in Tens of decades yet registration should be manageable and friendly not only for the user but also for the service. I have not been able to find co founders as people do not accept that such a disruptive service is possible. To be able to enable it one has to think out of the box.

Unfortunately this is the most ignored aspect. As regards convergence going by the experience have you come across any service which one can truly call Universal? One which will enable a user from the remotest corner of Africa to contact one on one universally and whether such a convergence enable connectivity of all multimedia service possible; either fixed or mobile and whether it would enable billing for them?

Hi Folks

I have set up a few sites using mySql/MSSql and .asp www.localtradespeople.co.uk being one of them. I have some good ideas but dont have the programming expertise to quickly develop and present for possible funding.
